A God-Given Dream
When it comes to the dream you have for your life, one piece of advice I have to offer is this: Go BIG. Don’t concern yourself with small or medium-sized dreams. A dream that really comes from God is one you can’t accomplish without Him. It’s something much bigger than you are.
You see, a God-given dream isn’t natural; it’s supernatural and it requires supernatural power to come to pass. The spiritual currency needed to bring dreams into reality is faith. You may know the familiar phrase, “the just shall live by faith.” This statement of truth is based on Habakkuk 2:4, where God and Habakkuk talk about Habakkuk’s dream. God is basically saying, “You’ll have to use your faith as you pursue the vision I’ve given you.” Trying to embrace and fulfill a God-given dream will be impossible if you don’t operate by faith. But if you do, the possibilities are endless.
When God gives you a dream, it’s not just about you. The dreams God gives always involve some kind of harvest (benefit for others). They impact the Kingdom of God in positive ways and they advance His Kingdom agenda. God-given dreams will magnify the Lord and lead to changed lives—not just yours, but the lives of people around you, whether they’re in your family, your community, your workplace, your city, or the world.
When God gives you a dream and you pursue it with diligence and faith, the outcome is upto Him. You certainly have to do your part and obey His promptings, but you do not have to feel the pressure to ‘make it happen.’ If you’ll really graspthis in your heart, a lot of stress will come offof your life and pursuing the dream will be a joy, not a burden. If He really has given you the dream, He will bring it to pass at the right time and under the right circumstances—and what He does just may amaze you!
For the Kingdom,
Success
